Abstract

Our content management system e+CMS overview.

Theory

A content management system (CMS) is a program used to create a framework for the content of a Web site. This approach is opposite to defining the look & feel first then coding the functionality second. Whereas the majority of cost of a website is in the functionality, the CMS approach is often significantly more cost effective.

CMS is deployed primarily for interactive use by a potentially large number of contributors.

Electronic commerce, commonly known as e-commerce, consists of the buying and selling of products or services over electronic systems such as the Internet. The amount of trade conducted electronically has grown extraordinarily since the spread of the Internet. A wide variety of commerce is conducted in this way.

Online shopping is the process consumers go through to purchase products or services over the Internet. An online shop, e-shop, e-store, Internet shop, webshop, online store, or virtual store evokes the physical analogy of buying products or services at a bricks-and-mortar retailer. The metaphor of an online catalog is also used, by analogy with mail order catalogs.

For example, the software for our website is based on a e+CMS, which is a particular type of content management system and it uses online catalogue.
